Lorna Samatas

FOUNDER OF WYO & FREE

Lorna is a teacher, speaker and life coach passionate about personal growth and transformation.

Her brand WYO & FREE is all about empowering people to embody their ultimate happy-place (hers is the Wyoming Tetons!) and tap their “inner compass” to find – and stay on – their biggest, boldest path.
As former owner of a ballet-barre exercise studio, Lorna worked with THE DAILEY METHOD franchise internationally to implement alignment principles, mentor studio owners, and develop teacher training resources across studio locations. She also worked closely with Jill Dailey (Founder/Creator) as CSO (“Chief Spiritual Officer”) introducing Mindfulness trainings to studio owners and their staffs, and writing an inspirational blog for the franchise –helping students transform their physical practice into deeper “life practice.” Lorna’s teaching style offers inspiring mind/body-integrated classes with precise focus on optimal alignment from the inside-out.
Lorna is a certified, experienced Yoga teacher, Level-2 Reiki practitioner, motivational speaker, writer, spiritual coach, individual & organizational change facilitator, and mother of three children (five if you include fur-babies.) She holds a Master’s Degree in Education, and undergraduate degrees in Journalism and English. She has consulted in Health Care Public Relations, Patient & Family Education, Cultural Competency, and Organizational Development, working for Children’s Memorial Hospital and numerous Public Relations Agencies in Chicago.
A marathoner and dancer, Lorna enjoys barefoot/minimalist running and is always game for a dance floor! She loves balancing green-juice, tequila, salads, and chocolate – and believes baths, moonlight, meditation, and mountains can cure just about anything. As a transformational coach and teacher, she empowers individuals to feel passionate, free, supported, and inspired to engage deeply in their lives.
